The curvelet transform for image denoising [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We describe approximate digital implementations of two new mathematical transforms, namely, the ridgelet transform and the curvelet transform. Our implementations offer exact reconstruction, stability against perturbations, ease of implementation, and ...

A Note on Fractional Gabor Systems in L2(ℝ)

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
In this article, fractional Gabor frames in L2(ℝ) are defined and studied. Also, a finite linear combination of fractional Gabor frames for L2(ℝ) is discussed. It is proved that under certain conditions, a finite linear combination of fractional Gabor frames is a fractional Gabor frame for L2(ℝ).

Blind image separation using pyramid technique

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Image and Video Processing, 2018
Signal and image separation is an important processing step for accurate image reconstruction, which is increasingly applied to many medical imaging applications and communication systems.

On the subexponentiality of the ridgelet transform

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2014
We show that we can consider the ridgelet transform for Wiener functionals as a subexponential random variable. We give an application of this result to random walks.

Ridgelet Transform Based on Reveillès Discrete Lines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In this paper we present a new discrete implementation of ridgelet transforms based on Reveilles discrete 2D lines. Ridgelet transforms are particular invertible wavelet transforms. Our approach uses the arithmetical thickness parameter of Reveilleslinesto adapt the Ridgelet transform to specific applications. We illustrate this with a denoising and a ...

Second-Generation Curvelets on the Sphere [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Curvelets are efficient to represent highly anisotropic signal content, such as a local linear and curvilinear structure. First-generation curvelets on the sphere, however, suffered from blocking artefacts.

The aceToolbox: low-level audiovisual feature extraction for retrieval and classification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper we present an overview of a software platform that has been developed within the aceMedia project, termed the aceToolbox, that provides global and local lowlevel feature extraction from audio-visual content.

Robust medical image watermarking based on Ridgelet transform and Ant Colony Optimization for telemedicine security

open access: yesSystems and Soft Computing
The development of telemedicine needs strong solutions to prevent manipulation of medical data while maintaining accurate diagnosis. Current watermarking methods aim to establish an effective compromise between robustness, imperceptibility, and payload ...

Greedy Shallow Networks: An Approach for Constructing and Training Neural Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We present a greedy-based approach to construct an efficient single hidden layer neural network with the ReLU activation that approximates a target function.

Source identification for mobile devices, based on wavelet transforms combined with sensor imperfections [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
One of the most relevant applications of digital image forensics is to accurately identify the device used for taking a given set of images, a problem called source identification.
