RECOGNITION METHOD OF METAL FRACTURE IMAGES BASED ONEMPIRICAL RIDGELET-2DPCA
The empirical ridgelet transform has the ability of direction selectivity and adaptive decomposition. 2 DPCA can directly use the original image toconstruct the covariance matrix.

Ridgelet-based signature for natural image classification [PDF]
This paper presents an approach to grouping natural scenes into (semantically) meaningful categories. The proposed approach exploits the statistics of natural scenes to define relevant image categories.

Generalized Ridgelet-Fourier for M×N images: determining the normalization criteria [PDF]
Ridgelet transform (RT) has gained its popularity due to its capability in dealing with line singularities effectively. Many of the existing RT however is only applied to images of size M×M or the M×N images will need to be pre-segmented into M×M sub ...

A Case Study on Contourlet and Ridgelet in Denoising Medical Images
A special member of the transforming of multiscale in the frequency domain has been proposed and developed in the last few years ago. We mention here some transformations after X-let generation such as: Ridgelet, Contourlet, Bandelet [1,2,3,4 ...

Curvelet Approach for SAR Image Denoising, Structure Enhancement, and Change Detection [PDF]
In this paper we present an alternative method for SAR image denoising, structure enhancement, and change detection based on the curvelet transform. Curvelets can be denoted as a two dimensional further development of the well-known wavelets.

Polarized wavelets and curvelets on the sphere
The statistics of the temperature anisotropies in the primordial cosmic microwave background radiation field provide a wealth of information for cosmology and for estimating cosmological parameters. An even more acute inference should stem from the study

A New Affine Invariant Image Transform Based on Ridgelets [PDF]
In this paper we present a new affine invariant image transform, based on ridgelets. The proposed transform is directly applicable to segmented image patches. The new method has some similarities with the previously proposed Multiscale Autoconvolution, but it will offer a more general framework and possibilities for variations.

A HYBRID FACE RECOGNITION APPROACH USING LOCAL FUSION OF COMPLEX DUAL-TREE WAVELET COEFFICIENTS AND RIDGELET TRANSFORM [PDF]
In this paper, we propose novel face recognition method based on local appearance feature extraction using hybrid mode of local ridge- let and fused dual-tree complex wavelet transform (DT-CWT).

2D Empirical Transforms. Wavelets, Ridgelets, and Curvelets Revisited
A recently developed new approach, called ``Empirical Wavelet Transform'', aims to build 1D adaptive wavelet frames accordingly to the analyzed signal. In this paper, we present several extensions of this approach to 2D signals (images). We revisit some well-known transforms (tensor wavelets, Littlewood-Paley wavelets, ridgelets and curvelets) and show
