A Numerical Method Combining Cubic Interpolated Propagation and Shifted Grünwald–Letnikov for Fractional Advection–Dispersion Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Recent advances in the numerical solution of fractional partial differential equations have yielded promising results. In particular, the Shifted Grünwald–Letnikov (SGL) approach allows for a generalization of the traditional finite difference method to the context of fractional differential equations.

A Parametric Method of Finding Accessory Parameters for the Generalized Schwarz--Christoffel Integrals [PDF]

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2016
An approximate method of finding accessory parameters for the generalized Schwarz--Christoffel integrals has been suggested. The integrals provide conformal mappings of a half-plane onto the polygonal Riemann surfaces with inner branch points. The method

Capturing Complex Rate‐Dependent Behaviors of Saturated Clays: A Fractional Consistency Kinematic Hardening Viscoplastic Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Saturated high plasticity clays show complex nonlinear, rate‐dependent, and hysteresis behaviors under non‐monotonic stress paths, requiring advanced mathematical constitutive equations for accurate description. Taking into account the inherent advantages of kinematic hardening mechanisms in simulating complex stress histories, this paper ...

The Bernstein Operational Matrices for Solving the Fractional Quadratic Riccati Differential Equations with the Riemann-Liouville Derivative

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We obtain the approximate analytical solution for the fractional quadratic Riccati differential equation with the Riemann-Liouville derivative by using the Bernstein polynomials (BPs) operational matrices.

The Riemann Problem for the Blood Flow Model with Body Force Term

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics
In this paper, we study the Riemann problem for the blood flow model with body force term. The Riemann solutions involve the rarefaction waves, the shock waves, and the collapsed state.

Homotopy analysis method for Cauchy Riemann equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematical Analysis, 2014
In this paper, we obtain the series solution for the Cauchy Riemann equations with initial value problem by using homotopy analysis method (HAM), and computer graphics show that the HAM is efficient in solving Cauchy - Riemann equations.

Predicting Non-Linear Flow Phenomena through Different Characteristics-Based Schemes

open access: yesAerospace, 2018
The present work investigates the bifurcation properties of the Navier–Stokes equations using characteristics-based schemes and Riemann solvers to test their suitability to predict non-linear flow phenomena encountered in aerospace applications.

Proteomic and Transcriptomic Signatures of Poor Asthma Symptom Control in the U‐BIOPRED Cohort

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
No stable features were identified as associated with asthma symptom control in transcriptomics or sputum proteomics. Higher TWEAKR/TNFRSF12A and MBL/MBP‐C serum levels increased the odds of uncontrolled symptoms, while higher MK08/MAPK8 and CD5L serum levels decreased the odds, after adjustment for clinical variables.
