ABSTRACT Cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT‐I) is recommended as first‐line treatment for insomnia disorder. However, around 25% of the patients do not respond to the treatment, and only 40% achieve full remission. The current study investigates the therapeutic potential of light therapy as an add‐on to CBT‐I.

Topological Classification of Conformal Actions on pq-Hyperelliptic Riemann Surfaces
A compact Riemann surface X of genus g>1 is said to be p-hyperelliptic if X admits a conformal involution ρ, for which X/ρ is an orbifold of genus p. If in addition X is q-hyperelliptic, then we say that X is pq-hyperelliptic.

We reconsider the relation of superconformal indices of superconformal field theories of class S with five-dimensional N=2 supersymmetric Yang–Mills theory compactified on the product space of a round three-sphere and a Riemann surface.

Detecting Periodicity of a General Stationary Time Series via AR(2)‐Model Fitting
ABSTRACT Estimating the periodicity of a stationary time series via fitting a second‐order stationary autoregressive (AR(2)) model has been initiated by the seminal paper of Yule (1927). We investigate properties of this procedure when applied to general stationary processes possessing a spectral density with a dominant peak at some unknown frequency ...

Discrete Riemann surfaces [PDF]
We detail the theory of Discrete Riemann Surfaces. It takes place on a cellular decomposition of a surface, together with its Poincaré dual, equipped with a discrete conformal structure. A lot of theorems of the continuous theory follow through to the discrete case, we define the discrete analogs of period matrices, Riemann's bilinear relations ...

AdS 6 T-duals and type IIB AdS 6 × S 2 geometries with 7-branes
We show that the first AdS 6 backgrounds in Type IIB supergravity known in the literature, namely those constructed via T-duality from the Brandhuber-Oz solution to massive IIA, fit within an extension of the global AdS 6 × S 2 solutions with 7-branes ...

Abstract Introduction Over 44% of European lakes fail to meet ecological quality standards, prompting substantial investment in lake restoration to achieve good ecological status. Unfortunately, effects are often short‐lived due to persistent internal phosphorus (P) loading and strong cyprinid‐driven bottom‐up control, which limits water quality ...

Criterion for connections on principal bundles over a pointed Riemann surface
We investigate connections, and more generally logarithmic connections, on holomorphic principal bundles over a compact connected Riemann surface.

The Long Shadow of Karl Weierstraß Over the Calculus of Variations
ABSTRACT At first glance, it appears that the contents of Karl Weierstraß's (1815–1897) lecture courses on the calculus of variations were made available to the public only in the seventh volume of his Mathematische Werke, and thus not until 30 years after his death.

On the minimal surfaces of Riemann
Let \(\gamma_ 1\), \(\gamma_ 2\) be plane Jordan curves in horizontal planes \(P_ 1\), \(P_ 2\) of \(\mathbb{R}^ 3\). It is known, under simple conditions on \(\gamma_ 1\) and \(\gamma_ 2\), that they bound a least area minimal annulus between \(P_ 1\) and \(P_ 2\). \textit{W. H. Meeks III} and \textit{R.
