Simple geodesics on Riemann surfaces [PDF]
As observed by Myrberg, on any closed hyperbolic surface the closed geodesics cover a dense subset. Below, it is shown that the simple geodesics cannot cover such parts of a surface which are sufficiently thin.

Spectral properties and conformal type of surfaces
In this short note, we announce a result relating the geometry of a riemannian surface to the positivity of some operators on this surface (the operators considered here are of the form surface Laplacian plus a scalar multiple of the curvature function).

ABSTRACT In this work, we present an extension of the semi‐discrete Lagrangian‐Eulerian numerical scheme for diffusive‐dispersive conservation law problems, including a jump discontinuous flux function. As in the one‐dimensional scalar hyperbolic case, the no‐flow curves also organize the geometry of the method.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
