Quantising chiral bosons on Riemann surfaces

Sen’s action in two dimensions governs a chiral boson coupled to a two-dimensional metric together with a second chiral boson that couples to a flat two-dimensional metric. This second scalar decouples from the physical degrees of freedom.

Proteomic and Transcriptomic Signatures of Poor Asthma Symptom Control in the U‐BIOPRED Cohort

No stable features were identified as associated with asthma symptom control in transcriptomics or sputum proteomics. Higher TWEAKR/TNFRSF12A and MBL/MBP‐C serum levels increased the odds of uncontrolled symptoms, while higher MK08/MAPK8 and CD5L serum levels decreased the odds, after adjustment for clinical variables.

Topological Classification of Conformal Actions on pq-Hyperelliptic Riemann Surfaces

A compact Riemann surface X of genus g>1 is said to be p-hyperelliptic if X admits a conformal involution ρ, for which X/ρ is an orbifold of genus p. If in addition X is q-hyperelliptic, then we say that X is pq-hyperelliptic.

We derive the anomaly polynomials of 4d N = 2 $$ \mathcal{N}=2 $$ theories that are obtained by wrapping M5-branes on a Riemann surface with arbitrary regular punctures, using anomaly inflow in the corresponding M-theory setup.
