Low eigenvalues of the p$p$–Laplacian in general open sets
Abstract We consider the minmax Ljusternik–Schnirelmann levels of the constrained p$p$–Dirichlet integral on a general open set of the Euclidean space. We show that, whenever one of these levels lies below the threshold given by the Lp$L^p$ Poincaré constant “at infinity,” it actually defines an eigenvalue of the Dirichlet p$p$–Laplacian. We also prove

Inversion Formulas for the Spherical Radon-Dunkl Transform
The spherical Radon-Dunkl transform R_κ, associated to weight functions invariant under a finite reflection group, is introduced, and some elementary properties are obtained in terms of h-harmonics.

Finite Element Approximation for a Reformulation of a 3D Fluid–2D Plate Interaction System
ABSTRACT We study a finite element approximation of a coupled fluid‐structure interaction consisting of a three‐dimensional incompressible viscous fluid governed by the unsteady Stokes equations and a two‐dimensional elastic plate. To avoid the use of H2−$$ {H}^2- $$conforming or nonconforming ℙ2$$ {\mathbb{P}}_2 $$‐Morley plate elements, the fourth ...

Boundedness of the Maximal, Potential and Singular Operators in the Generalized Morrey Spaces
We consider generalized Morrey spaces ℳp,ω(ℝn) with a general function ω(x,r) defining the Morrey-type norm. We find the conditions on the pair (ω1,ω2) which ensures the boundedness of the maximal operator and ...

General Euler-Poisson-Darboux Equation and Hyperbolic B-Potentials
In this work, we develop the theory of hyperbolic equations with Bessel operators. We construct and invert hyperbolic potentials generated by multidimensional generalized translation. Chapter 1 contains necessary notation, definitions, auxiliary facts and

Null projections and noncommutative function theory in operator algebras
Abstract We study projections in the bidual of a C∗$\mathrm{C}^*$‐algebra B$B$ that are null with respect to a subalgebra A$A$, that is, projections p∈B∗∗$p\in B^{**}$ satisfying |φ|(p)=0$|\varphi |(p)=0$ for every φ∈B∗$\varphi \in B^*$ annihilating A$A$. In the separable case, A$A$‐null projections are precisely the peak projections in the bidual of A$

On Limiting Case of the Stein-Weiss Type Inequality for the B-Riesz Potentials [PDF]
In this paper we study the Riesz potentials (B-Riesz potentials) generated by the Laplace-Bessel differential operator ∆B [...]. We establish an inequality of Stein-Weiss type for the B-Riesz potentials in the limiting case, and obtain the boundedness ...

Sobolev Embedding Theorem for the Sobolev-Morrey spaces
In this paper we prove a Sobolev Embedding Theorem for Sobolev-Morrey spaces. The proof is based on the Sobolev Integral Representation Theorem and on a recent results on Riesz potentials in generalized Morrey spaces of Burenkov, Gogatishvili, Guliyev ...

A trace problem for associate Morrey potentials
As a solution to the restriction question for associate Morrey potentials (Question 1.1), this paper characterizes a Radon measure μ on ℝn{\mathbb{R}^{n}} such that the Riesz operator Iα{I_{\alpha}} maps the associate Morrey spaces H1p,κ⊂Hp,κ{H^{p,\kappa}
