New Banach Sequence Spaces Defined by Jordan Totient Function
In this study, a special lower triangular matrix derived by combining Riesz matrix and Jordan totient matrix is used to construct new Banach spaces. $\alpha-$,$\beta-$,$\gamma-$duals of the resulting spaces are obtained and some matrix operators ...

Low eigenvalues of the p$p$–Laplacian in general open sets
Abstract We consider the minmax Ljusternik–Schnirelmann levels of the constrained p$p$–Dirichlet integral on a general open set of the Euclidean space. We show that, whenever one of these levels lies below the threshold given by the Lp$L^p$ Poincaré constant “at infinity,” it actually defines an eigenvalue of the Dirichlet p$p$–Laplacian. We also prove

Finite Element Approximation for a Reformulation of a 3D Fluid–2D Plate Interaction System
ABSTRACT We study a finite element approximation of a coupled fluid‐structure interaction consisting of a three‐dimensional incompressible viscous fluid governed by the unsteady Stokes equations and a two‐dimensional elastic plate. To avoid the use of H2−$$ {H}^2- $$conforming or nonconforming ℙ2$$ {\mathbb{P}}_2 $$‐Morley plate elements, the fourth ...

Null projections and noncommutative function theory in operator algebras
Abstract We study projections in the bidual of a C∗$\mathrm{C}^*$‐algebra B$B$ that are null with respect to a subalgebra A$A$, that is, projections p∈B∗∗$p\in B^{**}$ satisfying |φ|(p)=0$|\varphi |(p)=0$ for every φ∈B∗$\varphi \in B^*$ annihilating A$A$. In the separable case, A$A$‐null projections are precisely the peak projections in the bidual of A$

Direct limit of matricially Riesz normed spaces [PDF]
summary:In this paper, the $\Cal F$-Riesz norm for ordered $\Cal F$-bimodules is introduced and characterized in terms of order theoretic and geometric concepts.

A general theory of inverse welfare functions
This paper develops a general theory to recover the inverse welfare function that rationalizes a given tax schedule as optimal. Our theory allows for complex environments including the presence of multidimensional tax schedules, bunching/jumping behavior, optimization frictions, general equilibrium effects, and externalities.

Variation inequalities related to Schrödinger operators on weighted Morrey spaces
This paper establishes the boundedness of the variation operators associated with Riesz transforms and commutators generated by the Riesz transforms and BMO-type functions in the Schrödinger setting on the weighted Morrey spaces related to certain ...

Abstract We develop a delay‐aware estimation and control framework for a non‐isothermal axial dispersion tubular reactor modelled as a coupled parabolic‐hyperbolic PDE system with recycle‐induced state delay. The infinite‐dimensional dynamics are preserved without spatial discretization by representing the delay as a transport PDE and adopting a late ...

Characterizations for the Riesz potential and its commutators on generalized Orlicz-Morrey spaces
In the present paper, we shall give a characterization for the Spanne and Adams type boundedness of the Riesz potential and its commutators on the generalized Orlicz-Morrey spaces, respectively.

Long‐Time Solvability and Asymptotics for the 3D Rotating MHD Equations
ABSTRACT We consider the initial value problem for the 3D incompressible rotating MHD equations around a constant magnetic field. We prove the long‐time existence and uniqueness of solutions for small viscosity coefficient and high rotating speed. Moreover, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of solutions in the limit of vanishing viscosity and fast
