Purpose Accurate arterial input functions (AIFs) are essential for quantitative dynamic contrast‐enhanced (DCE) MRI, yet direct measurement is challenging and population‐averaged AIFs neglect patient‐specific variability. Blind deconvolution provides an alternative by estimating patient‐specific AIFs directly from tissue data, up to a scale factor ...

Placental Dysfunction and Congenital Heart Disease: Investigating the Placenta‐Heart Axis
ABSTRACT Objective Concurrent development of the placenta and heart during early gestation suggests a shared biological basis for the co‐occurrence of abnormal placentation and congenital heart disease (CHD). This study investigated the association between placental vascular pathology and CHD type.

Hybrid repair of Kommerell's diverticulum with aberrant subclavian artery
Kommerell's diverticulum (KD) is a rare aortic arch anomaly associated with aberrant subclavian arteries and risk of rupture. We present an 80-year-old woman with a right-sided aortic arch and aberrant left subclavian artery arising from a 5.0-cm KD.

Surgical therapy of a dissecting aortic aneurysm involving a right-sided aortic arch
Dissecting aortic aneurysm involving a right-sided aortic arch is apparently quite rare. A patient with this unusual entity is described. By performing an extraanatomic bypass, the aneurysm was excluded between stainless steel Staples.

Exploiting Device Deformability for Fluid and Particle Manipulation
Deformable devices enable fluid and particle manipulation modes that are inaccessible to rigid platforms. This review examines soft materials and architectures that translate controlled deformation into microscale fluid operations such as pumping, valving, mixing, and particle handling.

Coarctation on a right aortic arch: Minimally invasive imaging and management
Right aortic arch associated with coarctation of the aorta is an extremely rare congenital vascular anomaly. We report the case of a 17-year-old girl presenting with upper limb hypertension and absent femoral pulses. Computed tomography angiography (CTA)

Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.
