Right aortic arch with mirror image branching pattern and isolated left brachiocephalic artery: A case report

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2020
We present a very rare case of right aortic arch with an isolated left brachiocephalic artery in a 35-year-old female. This entity is an extremely uncommon aortic arch anomaly which has associated multisystem symptoms. We briefly discuss the hypothetical

An adult with right aortic arch and dysphagia [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Heart Journal, 2013
A 38-year-old male presented with history of atypical chest pain and dysphagia. Cardiovascular examination was unremarkable. Electrocardiography and transthoracic echocardiography were normal. Chest radiograph showed right-sided aortic arch ( Panel A ).

ZER1 Restrains Pressure Overload‐Induced Cardiac Remodeling by Targeting DVL2 for Gly/N‐Degron‐Dependent Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pressure overload suppresses cardiomyocyte ZER1, weakening CRL2Zer1‐mediated DVL2 degradation and allowing DVL2 accumulation. Elevated DVL2 activates CaMKII‐HDAC4‐MEF2C signaling, drives fetal gene reactivation, and promotes pathological remodeling.

Isolated Persistent Fifth Aortic Arch with Right-sided Aortic Arch.

open access: yesJapanese Heart Journal, 1995
A persistent fifth aortic arch was recognized in a 4-year-old boy by echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging and angiocardiography. The case was unique in at least two respects: right-sided aortic arch, and systemic-to-pulmonary connection without intracardiac lesion.

Lymph Node Metastasis Pattern and Influencing Factors in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
Among 388 patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma who underwent curative resection, 144 (37.1%) developed lymph node metastasis. Upper thoracic tumors mainly involved upper mediastinal and upper right paratracheal nodes, whereas lower thoracic tumors more often involved paracardial and abdominal nodes.

CT Angiography for Aortic Arch Anomalies: Prevalence, Diagnostic Efficacy, and Illustrative Findings

open access: yesDiagnostics
Aortic arch anomalies encompass a diverse spectrum of conditions. Elucidating the prevalence of these anomalies, their impact on patient wellbeing, and the most effective diagnostic tools are crucial steps in ensuring optimal patient care.

Total arch replacement with frozen elephant trunk technique for Kommerell’s diverticulum with a right-sided aortic arch and aberrant left subclavian artery

open access: yesJournal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, 2023
Background Kommerell’s diverticulum with a right-sided aortic arch and aberrant left subclavian artery is uncommon. We perforemed a single-stage procedure with the frozen elephant trunk technique.

Prenatal detection of right aortic arch [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Gynecology and Obstetrics, 2019
To examine an unselective population of fetuses with right aortic arch (RAA) and suggest perinatal management. Second, to evaluate the importance and possible implication of fetal MRI in those cases.Retrospective study of 36 patients with RAA diagnosed prenatally between 2006 and 2017 in a tertiary referral center.32 fetuses were diagnosed with RAA and

Pre‐Curved Everting Robots With Embedded Steering Intelligence Fabricated by CO2 Laser Welding

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Design and experimental demonstration of a laser welded growing robot for anatomically guided navigation. The robot follows an aortic arch phantom entering the branchiocephalic branch through steering by design. The figure shows the physical phantom setup, CAD defined weld geometry and full robot eversion.

Right-sided aortic arch with mirror image branching and situs solitus: a case of a 79 years old woman

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2019
Right aortic arch with mirror image branching (RAMI) is a rare congenital defect of the aorta. The exact incidence of RAMI in the general population is unclear. In RAMI the first branch arising from the arch is the left innominate artery, followed by the
