Right Atrial Myxoma Successfully Removed
Archives of Internal Medicine, 1963The successful removal of right atrial tumors has been reported in 13 instances. 1,2,6 This 14th case warrants reporting because: (1) symptoms related to changes in body position were minimal, (2) the correct diagnosis was made preoperatively, and (3) removal of the tumor resulted in tricuspid insufficiency.

Right Atrial Thrombus Resembling Myxoma
International Journal of Angiology, 1998A patient who had a VVI pacemaker implanted 4 years ago presented with exertional dyspnea. He was found to have a large mobile ovoid mass in the right atrium attached to the lateral atrial wall apart from the pacing electrode. The tumor resembling a myxoma was removed successfully under cardiopulmonary bypass and found to be an organized thrombus.
