Double whammy: the disappearing right atrium [PDF]
A 66-year-old man with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection complicated by liver cirrhosis presented with about 6 months of severe right shoulder pain as well as more recent progressive dyspnoea on exertion and lower extremity oedema. On outpatient evaluation at the onset of shoulder symptoms, they had been ascribed to an orthopaedic aetiology.

Chemically Doped Conductive Polymers for Wearable Health Monitoring
Among conductive polymers, poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), polyaniline (PANI), and polypyrrole (PPy) are the most studied and applied. Chemical doping significantly boosts intrinsic conductivity and mechanical robustness.

A Rare Case of the Dilated Right Atrium in a Newborn
Aneurysms of the right atrium are extremely rare. These aneurysms can be associated with tachyarrhythmia, intracardiac thrombus formation, thromboembolism, and right ventricular compression precipitating heart failure.

We report a case of a 70-year-old woman who presented for a cavotricuspid isthmus atrial flutter ablation that was aborted prematurely. On subsequent imaging, she was discovered to have a right atrial diverticulum, which was present on prior imaging but ...

Giant and electrically silent right atrium [PDF]
A 22-year-old man with no significant past medical history was referred to our centre due to an incessant supraventricular tachycardia with variable atrioventricular conduction and no evidence of sinus rhythm during Holter monitoring. Transthoracic echocardiogram showed a remarkably dilated right atrium and a severe tricuspid regurgitation secondary to

A high‐density wearable body‐surface potential mapping array reveals how gravity reshapes cardiac conduction in real time. By resolving spatiotemporal delay patterns invisible to conventional ECG, the platform uncovers posture‐dependent electrophysiological adaptations across the thorax.

A rare combination of cardiac and pulmonary cyst and review of the literature
Hydatid disease remains an important public health problem in endemic areas. We report a rare case of intramyocardial hydatid cyst of the right atrium along with a pulmonary hydatid cyst in a 16-year-old girl who was admitted to our hospital because of ...

Altered excitation-contraction coupling in human chronic atrial fibrillation [PDF]
This review focuses on the (mal)adaptive processes in atrial excitation-contraction coupling occurring in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation. Cellular remodeling includes shortening of the atrial action potential duration and effective refractory ...

Systemic venous anomalies in a child with a vein of Galen
We describe our findings in a child with a vein of Galen malformation, in whom the right superior caval and the azygos veins drained into the roof of the morphologically left atrium.
