Contrast Agent Clearance Dynamics and Diffusion in the Mouse Brain After Ventricular Administration
Schematic representation of contrast agent clearance by convective bulk flow from the ventricular spaces to the subarachnoid space on the ventral aspect of the brain, or by diffusion into the parenchyma across the pia‐glia or through the semi‐permeable ependyma. Abstract Fluid and solute exchange between cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) spaces and the central

Neuroimaging for differential diagnosis of transient neurological attacks
Abstract Background Rapid yet comprehensive neuroimaging protocols are required for patients with suspected acute stroke. However, stroke mimics can account for approximately one in five clinically diagnosed acute ischemic strokes and the rate of thrombolyzed mimics can be as high as 17%.

Doxorubicin‐induced cardiomyopathy involves mitochondrial energy metabolism dysfunction, exacerbated by cardiomyocyte‐specific Slc25a49 deficiency via oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) suppression and glycolysis activation. The Slc25a49–glucose‐6‐phosphate (G6P)–activator protein‐1 (AP‐1) axis drives myocardial injury by upregulating Sln, disrupting ...

A universal and versatile zwitterion coating strategy is developed for blood‐contacting catheters with long lengths and complex geometries. The coating exhibits near‐zero fouling, superior anticoagulation, and selective biocapturing properties while maintaining excellent stability under dynamic blood flow.

Delayed diagnosis of right ventricle perforation after blind needle pericardiocentesis [PDF]
A case of right ventricle perforation in a 63-year old man after blind needle pericardiocentesis for pericardial effusion is presented, focusing on the delayed diagnosis of this serious complication. During surgical repair, the pigtail catheter was found

This work unravels a novel function of CD103+ T cells in eradicating oxidative‐stressed somatic cells to prevent lung tumorigenesis and identifies specific CD103+ T cell‐decline as a key feature in the aged lung. This comprehensive study highlights the contribution of immuno‐dysregulation to the high incidence of aging‐associated lung cancers ...
