Lecithin Alleviates Memory Deficits and Muscle Attenuation in Chinese Older Adults and SAMP8 Mice
This study opens a new avenue for safeguarding cognition and muscle health, averting disability in older age, and treating age‐related pathologies through lecithin supplementation. It serves as a promising nonpharmacological intervention for the crosstalk of muscle and cognition.

Birth defects associated with paternal firefighting in the National Birth Defects Prevention Study
Abstract Background Few studies have evaluated birth defects among children of firefighters. We investigated associations between birth defects and paternal work as a firefighter compared to work in non‐firefighting and police officer occupations. Methods We analyzed 1997–2011 data from the multi‐site case‐control National Birth Defects Prevention ...

Prognostic significance of right ventricular ejection fraction for persistent complex ventricular arrhythmias and/or sudden cardiac death after first myocardial infarction: Relation to infarct location, size and left ventricular function [PDF]
To assess the prognostic significance of right ventricular dysfunction after a first myocardial infarction for complex ventricular arrhythmias and or sudden cardiac death in relation to infarct location, size and left ventricular function, a series of ...

Percutaneous Mechanical Right Ventricular Support [PDF]
Ventricular assist devices are used in patients with heart failure refractory to standard management. Though left ventricular assist devices are more often used, patients with severe right ventricular dysfunction may also be treated with mechanical ...

Comparison of Evaluation Metrics for Landmark Detection in CMR Images [PDF]
Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) images are widely used for cardiac diagnosis and ventricular assessment. Extracting specific landmarks like the right ventricular insertion points is of importance for spatial alignment and 3D modeling. The automatic detection of such landmarks has been tackled by multiple groups using Deep Learning, but relatively ...

Data from a prospective cohort with 112 auditory brainstem implant users are analyzed. Younger age at implantation (<3 years), less severe inner‐ear malformation (common cavity, cochlear aplasia, and hypoplasia), and more intraoperative eABR evoked electrodes (≥60%) are associated with better hearing and speech outcomes.

Effects of the mechanical ventilation on the cardiovascular system [PDF]
Mechanical ventilation with positive pressure significantly influences cardiovascular system function. The main effects are a decrease of right ventricular preload and a decrease of left ventricular afterload.

Effect of ventricular function and volumes on exercise capacity in adults with repaired Tetralogy of Fallot [PDF]
Objectives: Investigate the effects of left and right ventricular function and severity of pulmonary valve regurgitation, quantified by cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR), on exercise tolerance in adult patients who underwent ToF repair at a young age ...

Bilirubin Targeting WNK1 to Alleviate NLRP3‐Mediated Neuroinflammation
At physiological concentrations, bilirubin binds to the kinase domain of WNK1, thereby augmenting its activity and facilitating the phosphorylation of downstream SPAK/OSR1. This phosphorylation inhibits KCC2 activity, leading to elevate intracellular chloride levels in neurons.
