The Word, Sound, and Power of Reading Your Writing Aloud
Abstract This essay positions reading one's writing aloud as embodied praxis and examines it alongside “word, sound and power,” a Rastafari philosophy which asserts that spoken words can alter reality. The essay offers reading aloud as a crucial world‐making act that cultivates relationalities with our voices, our interlocutors, and their stories.
