Influence of main operating conditions on contact wire wear of rigid catenary lines

open access: yesTribology International
A validated overhead conductor rail and a well-known wear model have been programmed to perform closer-to- reality simulations. Reliable wear rate estimates for two configurations of overhead conductor rails and three models of pantographs at different speeds and supply currents have been obtained. Results show that wear decreases with increasing speed

Feedforward and feedback active control of metro pantographs under abnormal excitations due to track conditions

open access: yes机车电传动
Metros are predominantly equipped with low-elasticity overhead rigid catenaries, which can easily lead to poor pantograph-catenary relationship. In recent years, abnormal wear has occurred frequently between the pantographs and catenaries in metro ...

Improvement Scheme and Static Strength Analysis Based on Existing Metro Pantograph

open access: yes机车电传动, 2019
For a long time, the problems such as structural parts cracking, failure of structural parts, pantograph and network accidents, and abnormal wear of the skate were revealed in the application of the subway pantograph in China.

Study on Pantograph–Rigid Catenary Separation Through Simulation Experiments and the Dynamic Characteristics of DC Arcs

open access: yesMachines
The pantograph–catenary system is a critical component of the traction power supply network. Due to hard points on the overhead contact line and vibrations of the pantograph, pantograph–catenary separation may occur, leading to offline DC arc events.

The Fluid-Structure Interaction Characteristics of the Pantograph-Rigid Catenary in the Context of Extra-Long Tunnels

open access: yesElectronics
The geological structure in western China is complex, and rigid catenary systems are commonly used for pantograph power supply in railway tunnel construction. Due to the space constraints within tunnels, the aerodynamic characteristics and fluid–structure interaction effects between pantographs and catenary systems directly affect train operational ...

Form-finding Analysis of Rigid Bracing Dome

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2014
:In order to solve the problem that the cable sag of rigid bracing dome can not be ignored, cables were simulated by catenary cable element.According to Hooke’s law, small strain assuming and deformation compatibility equation, the calculation formula of ...

A finite volume Simo–Reissner beam method for moored floating body dynamics

open access: yesApplied Ocean Research
This paper presents a novel finite volume mooring line model based on the geometrically exact Simo–Reissner beam model for analysing the interaction between a floating rigid body and its mooring lines.

Study on Model Reference Adaptive Control for Subway Pantographs

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu
The coupling performance of subway pantographs with catenaries affects the quality of current collection and the safety of trains. The rigidity of these catenaries exhibits periodicity and fluctuations due to factors such as geographical locations ...
