Phanerozoic Large Igneous Province, Petroleum System, and Source Rock Links
Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact
An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

Computational and Mathematical Modeling of Turbine Rim Seal Ingestion
Abstract Understanding and modeling of main annulus gas ingestion through turbine rim seals is considered and advanced in this paper. Unsteady three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations and results from a more elementary model are presented and compared with experimental data previously published by Hills et al ...

The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of

An Engineered Living Material With Pro‐Angiogenic Activity Inducible by Near‐Infrared Light
NIR‐responsive engineered living materials (ELMs) for controlled angiogenesis: Near‐infrared (800 nm) light activates engineered probiotic bacteria within alginate‐based living materials to secrete a blood vessel‐regenerating protein. The released protein promotes pro‐angiogenic effects in endothelial networks and chick chorioallantoic membranes.

ABSTRACT Biohybrid microswimmers, which integrate the unique mobility and taxis of living cells with the versatility of synthetic cargo, offer exciting opportunities for targeted delivery. However, current biohybrids lack autonomous decision‐making capabilities due to the absence of communication between living and synthetic components. Here, we report
