Double-valuedness of the electron wave function and rotational zero-point motion of electrons in rings

open access: yes, 2010
I propose that the phase of an electron's wave function changes by $\pi$ when the electron goes around a loop maintaining phase coherence. Equivalently, that the minimum orbital angular momentum of an electron in a ring is $\hbar/2$ rather than zero as ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Suppression of level hybridization due to Coulomb interactions

open access: yes, 1998
We investigate an ensemble of systems formed by a ring enclosing a magnetic flux. The ring is coupled to a side stub via a tunneling junction and via Coulomb interaction.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Geomagnetic response to solar and interplanetary disturbances

open access: yesJournal of Space Weather and Space Climate, 2013
The space weather discipline involves different physical scenarios, which are characterised by very different physical conditions, ranging from the Sun to the terrestrial magnetosphere and ionosphere.

Persistent current of relativistic electrons on a Dirac ring in presence of impurities

open access: yes, 2014
We study the behavior of persistent current of relativistic electrons on a one dimensional ring in presence of attractive/repulsive scattering potentials. In particular, we investigate the persistent current in accordance with the strength as well as the

The distribution of the ring current: Cluster observations

open access: yes, 2011
. Extending previous studies, a full-circle investigation of the ring current has been made using Cluster 4-spacecraft observations near perigee, at times when the Cluster array had relatively small separations and nearly regular tetrahedral ...
