Synchrobetatron stop bands due to a single crab cavity

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2004
We analyze the stop band due to crab cavities for horizontal tunes that are either close to integers or close to half integers. The latter case is relevant for today’s electron/positron colliders.

Machine‐Learning‐Enhanced Printed Vertical Magnetoresistive Sensors for Transparent, Flexible, Multimodal Interactive Magnetoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents printed magnetoresistive sensors with a vertically aligned architecture that enables high optical transparency and mechanical flexibility. By integrating deep learning for the analysis of complex spatiotemporal signal patterns, the system further achieves intelligent multimodal interaction capabilities.

Modular forms and elliptic curves over the cubic field of discriminant -23

open access: yes, 2012
Let F be the cubic field of discriminant -23 and let O be its ring of integers. By explicitly computing cohomology of congruence subgroups of GL(2,O), we computationally investigate modularity of elliptic curves over F.Comment: Incorporated referee's ...

Factor rings of the Gaussian integers

open access: yesSuid-Afrikaanse Tydskrif vir Natuurwetenskap en Tegnologie, 2004
Whereas the homomorphic images of Z (the ring of integers) are well known, namely Z, {0} and Zn (the ring of integers modulo n), the same is not true for the homomorphic im-ages of Z[i] (the ring of Gaussian integers). More generally, let m be any nonzero square free integer (positive or negative), and consider the integral domain Z[ √m]={a + b √m | a,

Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.

People Counting and Positioning Using Low‐Resolution Infrared Images for FeFET‐Based In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, low‐resolution infrared imaging is combined with a 28 nm FeFET IMC architecture to enable compact, energy‐efficient edge inference. MLC FeFET devices are experimentally characterized, and controlled multi‐level current accumulation is validated at crossbar array level.

Minimum flows in the total graph of a finite commutative ring [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions on Combinatorics, 2014
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with zero-divisor set $Z(R)$. The total graph of $R$, denoted by $T(Gamma(R))$, is the simple (undirected) graph with vertex set $R$ where two distinct vertices are adjacent if their sum lies in $Z(R)$.

P-adic Approximation of Algebraic Integers and Residue Class Rings of Rings of Integer-Valued Polynomials

open access: yes
Let F:K be a Galois extension of number fields and Q a prime ideal of O_F lying over the prime P of O_K. By analyzing the Q-adic closure of O_K in O_F we characterize those rings of integers O_K for which every residue class ring of Int(O_K) modulo a non-zero prime ideal is GE2 (meaning that every unimodular pair can be trasformed to (1,0) by a series ...
