Wearable Ring Resonator Antenna [PDF]

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), 2018
In this paper a metamaterial wearable antenna is proposed. The proposed design is based on a transmission line coupled to a pair of double ring resonators (DRRs) on an e‐textile substrate. The metallic antenna layer is fully embroidered providing both electromagnetic and mechanical good properties.

Quality factor and finesse optimization in buried InGaAsP/InP ring resonators [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2009
Quality factor and finesse of buried In1−xGaxAsyP1−y / InP ring resonators have been optimized in this paper by a very general modelling technique. Limiting effect of propagation loss within the ring has been investigated using a three-dimensional (3D ...

Thermo-Optical Tuning Cascaded Double Ring Sensor with Large Measurement Range

open access: yesSensors, 2020
In this paper, a thermo-optic tuning optical waveguide sensor system based on a cascaded double micro-ring resonator is investigated. The system consists of a micro-ring resonator with the microheater as a reference ring and a micro-ring resonator with ...

REDUCTION OF THE CONTROL VOLTAGE IN THE AMPLITUDE ELECTROOPTIC MODULATOR AT MULTIPLE-INTERFERENCE IN A RING RESONATOR

open access: yesDoklady Belorusskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta informatiki i radioèlektroniki, 2020
In this paper, it’s described a method that allows to implement highly efficient amplitude modulation of radiation at the output of a ring resonator by controlling its artificial light losses, which are derived from it using two Y-shaped couplers. At the

Control of critical coupling in a ring resonator fiber configuration: application to wavelength-selective switching, modulation, amplification, and oscillation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
By controlling the internal loss of a ring resonator near critical coupling, we demonstrate control of the transmitted power in a fiber that is coupled to the resonator.

Dynamically tunable terahertz metamaterial sensor based on metal–graphene hybrid structural unit

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
By verifying the electromagnetic response characteristics of graphene in the low terahertz (THz) band, a terahertz metamaterial sensor is proposed. The unit cell of the metamaterial sensor is a split ring resonator nested square ring resonator. The split

A simple and novel method to obtain an FSR free silicon ring resonator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A simple and novel method to make a silicon ring resonator without the limit of free spectral range (FSR) is presented. For many applications, a ring resonator is desired with an ultra-wide FSR, a high quality factor, a large extinction ratio and low ...

Resonator for microwave magnetoelectric effect [PDF]

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2019
The design of a ring resonator made on a microstrip transmission line is presented. A study of ferromagnetic resonance using this design was made. Computer simulation of a microstrip ring resonator was carried out, and amplitude-frequency characteristics

Numerical Study of Opto-Fluidic Ring Resonators for Biosensor Applications

open access: yesSensors, 2012
The opto-fluidic ring resonator (OFRR) biosensor is numerically characterized in whispering gallery mode (WGM). The ring resonator includes a ring, a waveguide and a gap separating the ring and the waveguide.
