Structure of Spinning Particle Suggested by Gravity, Supergravity and Low Energy String Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The structure of spinning particle suggested by the rotating Kerr-Newman (black hole) solution, super-Kerr-Newman solution and the Kerr-Sen solution to low energy string theory is considered. Main peculiarities of the Kerr spinning particle are discussed:

A Comparative Study of Hooks in the Ya Rns Produced by Different Spinning Technologies

open access: yesAUTEX Research Journal, 2015
This article presents a comparative study of hooks’ characteristics of ring, rotor, air-jet and open-end friction spun yarns. Hook types and their extent, spinning in-coefficient and mean fibre extent in the yarns produced on different spinning ...

A cost-effective approach after implementation of timing belt drive in the cotton ring-spinning frame

open access: yesCleaner Engineering and Technology, 2022
The preliminary design of this work aimed at determining whether a flat belt or timing belt drive system was the optimal operating condition for the ring frame machine.

Geodesic Motion in the (Charged) Doubly Spinning Black Ring Spacetime

open access: yes, 2012
In this article we analyze the geodesics of test particles and light in the five dimensional (charged) doubly spinning black ring spacetime. Apparently it is not possible to separate the Hamilton-Jacobi-equation for (charged) doubly spinning black rings ...

SPIN OSCILLATIONS IN STORAGE RINGS [PDF]

open access: yesSpin 2004, 2005
The dependence of the particle rotation frequency on the particle orbit perturbations is found. The exact equation of spin motion in the cylindrical coordinate system is derived. The calculated formula for the frequency of g-2 precession is in the best agreement with previous results.

Persistent spin currents in mesoscopic Haldane-gap spin rings [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2004
Using a modified spin-wave approach, we show that in the presence of an inhomogeneous magnetic field or an in plane inhomogeneous electric field a mesoscopic antiferromagnetic Heisenberg ring with integer spin (i.e., a Haldane gap system) exhibits a persistent circulating spin current.

Accretion Discs with an Inner Spiral Density Wave [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In Montgomery (2009a), we show that accretion discs in binary systems could retrogradely precess by tidal torques like the Moon and the Sun on a tilted, spinning, non-spherical Earth.

Spin effects in a quantum ring [PDF]

open access: yesPhysica E: Low-dimensional Systems and Nanostructures, 2005
Recent experiments that are reviewed explore the spin states of a ring-shaped many-electron quantum dot. Coulomb-blockade spectroscopy is used to access the spin degree of freedom. The Zeeman effect observed for states with successive electron number allows to select possible sequences of spin ground states of the ring.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Thermodynamic instability of doubly spinning black objects

open access: yes, 2010
We investigate the thermodynamic stability of neutral black objects with (at least) two angular momenta. We use the quasilocal formalism to compute the grand canonical potential and show that the doubly spinning black ring is thermodynamically unstable ...
