Headland rips, sometimes referred to as boundary rips, are rip currents flowing against natural or artificial obstructions extending seaward from the beach, such as headland or groynes. They can be driven either by the deflection of the longshore current

Quasi-Rip: A New Type of Rip Model without Cosmic Doomsday
The fate of our universe is an unceasing topic of cosmology and the human being. The discovery of the current accelerated expansion of the universe significantly changed our view of the fate of the universe.

The generation and stabilization of rip - current circulation patterns is considered herein. An analytic model is developed to simulate the wave hydrodynamic processes in the nearshore zone, strongly influenced by the local bottom topography. The wave induced nearshore circulation pattern is computed and the results compared to prototype field data.

Kite Aerial Photography (KAP) for rip current identification in Parangtritis Beach
Rip current is being the major cause of the deadly accidents in Parangtritis Beach. This occasion can be prevented by mapping and monitoring the spatial pattern of rip currents at the location which rip currents are located.

Revising the taxonomic distribution, origin and evolution of ribosome inactivating protein genes. [PDF]
Ribosome inactivating proteins are enzymes that depurinate a specific adenine residue in the alpha-sarcin-ricin loop of the large ribosomal RNA, being ricin and Shiga toxins the most renowned examples.

Scalar dark energy models mimicking $\Lambda$CDM with arbitrary future evolution
Dark energy models with various scenarios of evolution are considered from the viewpoint of the formalism for the equation of state. It is shown that these models are compatible with current astronomical data.

Stroma-induced Jagged1 expression drives PC3 prostate cancer cell migration:disparate effects of RIP-generated proteolytic fragments on cell behaviour and Notch signaling [PDF]
The Notch ligand Jagged1 is subject to regulated intramembrane proteolysis (RIP) which yields a soluble ectodomain (sJag) and a soluble Jagged1 intracellular domain (JICD). The full-length Jagged1 protein enhances prostate cancer (PCa) cell proliferation

Microzonasi Perubahan Garis pantai Akibat Pengaruh Rip Current di Pantai Kota Bani Bengkulu
The coastal of Kota Bani in Bengkulu is directly connected to the Indian Ocean, which has strong waves and currents that have the potential for rip currents. Recently, Kota Bani coast has experienced rapid shoreline changes caused by abrasion. Therefore,
