Urban green spaces experience a mix of natural and anthropogenic noises, which could disrupt the vocal communication of several species. This study investigated how such complex soundscapes affect the occurrence of Anaxipha pallidula, which communicates through calls, focusing on both sound level and quality.

Sustainable HRM in the Public Sector: A Question of Viability or Legitimacy?
ABSTRACT Recent research has underlined the growing importance of sustainability in HRM policy and practice, taking into account long‐term multi‐stakeholder goals. However, few studies have specified the drivers and outcomes of sustainable HRM practices, nor the contradictions that arise when managers attempt to satisfy the demands of both internal and

The Effect of Mechanical Instrumentation on Dental Hard Tissue In Vitro: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Objective The aim of this review was to analyse the effects of hand instruments, ultrasonic scalers and air polishing devices on dental hard tissues, focusing on material loss and surface roughness. Methods Electronic databases MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library were screened for relevant studies.

Phenotypic integration and the organization of discrete facial variation
Integration patterns shape the prevalence of discrete facial trait combinations. Abstract Facial morphology results from coordinated developmental and evolutionary processes that produce structured patterns of covariation among traits. Therefore, individual faces reflect integrated anatomical configurations rather than collections of isolated traits ...

The Effects of Canning on the In Vitro Solubility of Phosphorus in Pet Food
ABSTRACT Excess phosphate (P) intake through inorganic P (Pi) addition is known to cause various adverse health effects while declaration of use and amount in pet food in the EU is not regulated. Distinction between organic phosphate (oP) from feed ingredients and Pi with standard laboratory methods is impossible.

On the Rayleigh-Ritz variational method
We give a simple proof of the well known fact that the approximate eigenvalues provided by the Rayleigh-Ritz variational method are increasingly accurate upper bounds to the exact ones. To this end, we resort to the variational principle, mentioned in most textbooks on quantum chemistry, and to a well known set of projection operators.

Temperate tree species show cross‐tolerance to heat, drought, and late spring‐frost stress
Significant cross‐tolerance of leaf traits to heat, drought and late spring‐frost were found. (a) Turgor loss point vs lethal spring‐frost temperature. (b) Heat thermal threshold temperature vs lethal spring‐frost temperature. (c) Heat thermal threshold temperature vs turgor loss point.

ABSTRACT With fewer young people entering public service, public employers and the corresponding trade unions aim at signaling that they offer attractive working conditions. However, in the struggle for attractive conditions, labor market conflicts occur between public employers and public sector unions when bargains fail. According to signaling theory,

STAGNATION IN THE RITZ AND GALYORKIN METHODS.
Ritz and Galerkin methods play an important role in variational and auxiliary methods. This is the case in Ritz and Galyorkin’s articles on defining stagnation conditions with the help of examples. Ritz and Galyorkin prove that the project is equal to each other. This article examines the stationarity of the Ritz and Galyorkin methods for the Poisson’s
