Monthly Weather Review, 1979
Abstract Based on 106 years of measured streamflow of the Nile River above Aswan, Egypt, and on readings of the annual high river flow at Cairo from the year 1700, the question of possible short-period climate changes in the source region for the water is examined. The problem of random time series is discussed., the runoff record of the Colorado River

QPE adjustment using river discharge
2020<p>With the expected increase in flooding due to climate change, accurate estimation of precipitation and the resulting modelled hydrographs are an essential requirement for reliable flood forecasts. At present, most radar rainfall adjustment methods require raingauge data to increase the accuracy of the precipitation estimates ...

Measurement of River Discharge
Journal AWWA, 1925of usefulness grew until today they assist in the solution of problems that affect every citizen. The number of measuring stations in operation has grown from a few in the early 90's to nearly 1700 this year. During the fiscal year of 1924 there were made approximately 12,000 regular and miscellaneous discharge measurements. These statements refer only

Eleven possible definitions of ‘bank‐full’ have been used by various investigators. The active floodplain is the most meaningful bank‐full level to the fluvial geomorphologist, whereas the banks of the valley flat are the most important to engineers.

Yukon River Discharge-NDVI Relationship
2020Similar to the Mackenzie River, a strong seasonal consistency between NDVI and discharge exists for Yukon River. The flow-NDVI association is particularly strong before June, discharge rapidly rises and reaches the peak the 1st half of June, while the NDVI in the period of April to June increases fastest and reaches the maximum in July.

OBSERVATIONS OF MACKENZIE RIVER DISCHARGE *

Grid mapping of river discharge
Journal of Hydrology, 1995Abstract This paper summarises methods for creating maps of river discharge, and evaluates them using river flow data from Europe. Most published maps are isoline maps, but choropleth maps are more appropriate for showing the spatial distribution of river flow. Five approaches to producing grid choropleth maps can be identified.

Acoustic Measurement of River Discharge
Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 1989This paper presents a new moving‐boat method for rapidly measuring river discharge using an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP). The method uses an ADCP to measure current profiles and boat velocity along transects across a river. Measurements from the River Elbe, near Hamburg, Germany, are presented to illustrate the method and its associated ...
