ABSTRACT Background and Aims Human schistosomiasis is a parasitic disease causing organ damage and developmental delays in children. Updated data on its distribution is vital for targeted interventions. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and associated factors of Schistosoma haematobium infection among school‐age children in Dubti city ...

Investigation on Flow Resistance of Large‐Scale Channels With Unmanaged Spontaneous Vegetation
The hydraulic measurements of two surveys (November 1995 and June 1996) by Flippin‐Dudley et al. were used. A theoretical flow resistance equation was assessed for a large‐scale vegetated channel. The analysis demonstrated that the theoretical flow resistance equation allows an accurate estimate of the Darcy–Weisbach friction factor.

This study aimed to quantify the spatio‐temporal use of breeding environments by the Eurasian curlew in 5 contrasting agricultural landscapes. To this end, 64 individuals were tagged with GPS devices to assess their space use according to their breeding stages and define their foraging habitat selection.

Using Environmental Tracers to Reduce Uncertainty in Natural Flood Management Modeling
Abstract Natural flood management (NFM) is a nature‐based solution that has grown in importance within flood risk policy and management over the last two decades. There is limited evidence on nature‐based solutions' effectiveness, and no accepted best practice on forecasting their performance. To explore NFM effectiveness, we built a hydrological model

Hydraulic Effects of Channel Realignment and Floodplain Reconnection in a Headwater Stream
Abstract Channel realignment and floodplain reconnection are increasingly used as nature‐based solutions for flood management, yet their hydraulic effects remain poorly quantified in field settings of moderate‐gradient, small order channels. This study examines the impact of such interventions on hydraulic response in a headwater catchment, Goldrill ...
