Explaining the $$R_K$$ RK and $$R_{K^*}$$ RK∗ anomalies

open access: yes, 2017
Recent LHCb results on $$R_{K^*}$$ RK∗ , the ratio of the branching fractions of $$B \rightarrow K^* \mu ^+ \mu ^-$$ B→K∗μ+μ- to that of $$B \rightarrow K^* e^+ e^-$$ B→K∗e+e- , for the dilepton invariant mass bins $$q^2 \equiv m_{\ell \ell }^2 = $$ q2 ...

Therapeutic Outcomes in VEXAS Syndrome: A Multicenter Comparative Cohort of Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Hypomethylating Agents

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypomethylating agents (HMA) and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT) have both demonstrated remissions in VEXAS; however, comparative data is lacking. We conducted a multicenter, retrospective analysis of 66 patients diagnosed with VEXAS syndrome treated with HMA (n = 35) or alloHSCT (n = 31). Baseline characteristics

On strong starters in cyclic groups

open access: yes, 1985
Strong starters have been very useful in the construction of Room squares and cubes, Howell designs, Kirkman triple systems and Kirkman squares and cubes. In this paper we investigate various properties of strong starters in cyclic groups. In particular,

Melatonin Levels in 89 Individuals With Smith Magenis Syndrome

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In patients with Smith–Magenis syndrome (SMS), an inverted circadian rhythm of melatonin (MT) contributes to the sleep disturbance. Standard treatment of sleep disturbance with MT often leads to extremely high daytime MT levels, resulting in even more sleep disorders. We therefore retrospectively evaluated the MT data of 89 SMS patients.

Sleep Disturbances in Adults With Tuberous Sclerosis Complex: Influences of Treatment and Clinical Features

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a genetic condition with multisystem neurocutaneous signs, including hamartomas, epilepsy, and neuropsychological difficulties. Although sleep disorders are increasingly recognized in TSC, they remain poorly described in adults.

Assessment of Growth in Cardio‐Facio‐Cutaneous Syndrome

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cardio‐facio‐cutaneous (CFC) syndrome is a rare, multiple congenital anomaly disorder in which individuals commonly experience faltering growth; however, systematic analysis of growth parameters in this disorder has not been performed. We recruited 69 participants with CFC through CFC International and collected data on assessing height ...

Some new results on skew frame starters in cyclic groups

open access: yes, 2022
In this paper, we study skew frame starters, which are strong frame starters that satisfy an additional "skew" property. We prove three new non-existence results for cyclic skew frame starters of certain types. We also construct several small examples of

Pearl's causality for integrating ecological datasets: A case study on Myricaria germanica in northern Italy

open access: yesApplications in Plant Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise Applied ecology can significantly influence policy decisions on environmental issues. Therefore, research in this field should be as transparent and reproducible as possible. Existing expertise from a broad range of disciplines should also be integrated into ecological research to allow researchers to maximize understanding of complex ...
