Dithioketal Polymers Via Radical Polymerization of γ‐Dithiobutyrolactone

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
γ‐Dithiobutyrolactone (DTBL) behaves like a ring‐retaining monomer in radical copolymerization with a series of conjugated monomers like styrene, t‐butyl acrylate and N,N‐dimethylacrylamide. The resulting copolymers contain controlled fractions of dithioketal linkages in their backbone, allowing chemical degradation.

Remote magnetic catheter navigation versus conventional ablation in atrial fibrillation ablation: Fluoroscopy reduction

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, 2017
Background: Percutaneous transcatheter radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation with remote controlled magnetic navigation (RMN) has been shown to reduce radiation exposure to patients and physicians compared with conventional manual (MAN) ablation

The resting microstate networks (RMN): cortical distributions, dynamics, and frequency specific information flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A brain microstate is characterized by a unique, fixed spatial distribution of electrically active neurons with time varying amplitude. It is hypothesized that a microstate implements a functional/physiological state of the brain during which specific ...

In an Attempt to Introduce Long-range Interactions into Small-world Networks

open access: yes, 2009
Distinguishing the long-range bonds with the regular ones, the critical temperature of the spin-lattice Guassian model built on two typical Small-world Networks (SWNs) is studied.

Influence of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions on magnetic structure of a spin-1/2 deformed kagome lattice antiferromagnet

open access: yes, 2012
Motivated by the recent neutron scattering experiment on Rb2Cu3SnF12 [Nat. Phys. 6, 865 (2010)], we investigate the effect of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interactions in a theoretical model for the magnetic structure of this material.

Halide‐Dependent Photoluminescence and Heavy‐Atom Effects in Low‐Melting Organic–Inorganic Manganese Halides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Two pyridinium‐based ionic liquid templated hybrid manganese halides, (C4Py)2[MnCl4] and (C4Py)2[MnBr4], display similar bulk structures but show significantly different photoluminescence behaviors due to the bromine heavy‐atom effect. Their stable local Mn environments remain intact even in the molten state, allowing applications such as luminescence ...

Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Using Robotic Magnetic Navigation Reduces the Incidence of Silent Cerebral Embolism

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine, 2021
Background: The incidence of silent cerebral embolisms (SCEs) has been documented after pulmonary vein isolation using different ablation technologies; however, it is unreported in patients undergoing with atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation using Robotic ...
