Leveraging optical and SAR data with a UU-Net for large-scale road extraction
Road datasets are fundamental and imperative for traffic management and urban planning. Different high-resolution optical remote sensing images are widely used for automatic road extraction but the results are usually limited to local scale and spectral ...

Feature Fusion Based Road Extraction for HJ-1-C SAR Image
Road network extraction in SAR images is one of the key tasks of military and civilian technologies. To solve the issues of road extraction of HJ-1-C SAR images, a road extraction algorithm is proposed based on the integration of ratio and directional ...

Decrypting cancer's spatial code: from single cells to tissue niches
Spatial transcriptomics maps gene activity across tissues, offering powerful insights into how cancer cells are organised, switch states and interact with their surroundings. This review outlines emerging computational, artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial approaches to define cell states, uncover tumour niches and integrate spatial data with ...

A computer model to differentiate skidder and cable-yarder based road network concepts on steep slopes [PDF]
Road spacing on slpes depends on the underlying off-road transportation technology. One major decision in road network planning is to determine under what terrain conditions ground- or cable based extraction systems should be applied.

ROAD EXTRACTION BASED ON IMPROVED DEEPLABV3 PLUS IN REMOTE SENSING IMAGE
. Urban roads in remote sensing images will be disturbed by surrounding ground features such as building shadows and tree shadows, and the extraction results are prone to problems such as incomplete road structure, poor topological connectivity, and poor

Development of 4T1 breast cancer mouse model system for preclinical carbonic anhydrase IX studies
Carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) is a well‐recognised therapeutic target and prognostic biomarker in cancer. We developed and characterised a robust murine breast cancer model system that is suitable for CAIX studies in vitro and in vivo—it comprises both CAIX‐positive and CAIX‐negative controls and provides a solid platform for the comprehensive ...

Road Extraction using Deep Learning
The Road extraction from aerial image, stands as a quintessential node for the development of rudimentary layers in innumerable fields. From GIS, to Unmanned Aerial vehicles, road maps pave the foundation for data accumulation. This significant process is a result of number of mechanisms devised over the years through iterative experiments and research.

The inactivation of SLC35C1 (GDP‐fucose transporter) and enzymes involved in GDP‐fucose biosynthesis was studied. Fucose supplementation increases the level of GDP‐fucose to abnormal, millimolar values in the absence of the TSTA3 protein and SLC35C1 in contrast to the GMDS/SLC35C1 double mutant.

Data mining for vehicle telemetry [PDF]
This article presents a data mining methodology for driving-condition monitoring via CAN-bus data that is based on the general data mining process. The approach is applicable to many driving condition problems, and the example of road type classification
