PAIR: Reconstructing Single‐Cell Open‐Chromatin Landscapes for Transcription Factor Regulome Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
scATAC‐seq analysis is often constrained by limited sequencing depth, extreme sparsity, and pervasive technical missingness. PAIR is a probabilistic framework that restores scATAC‐seq accessibility profiles by directly modeling the native cell–peak bipartite structure of chromatin accessibility.

Conformal Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces: A Cylindrical Geometry Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Cylindrical reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are explored for low‐complexity beam steering using one‐bit meta‐atoms. A multi‐level modeling approach, including optimization‐based synthesis, demonstrates that even minimal hardware can support directive scattering.

Accelerating Primary Screening of USP8 Inhibitors from Drug Repurposing Databases with Tree‐Based Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study introduces a tree‐based machine learning approach to accelerate USP8 inhibitor discovery. The best‐performing model identified 100 high‐confidence repurposable compounds, half already approved or in clinical trials, and uncovered novel scaffolds not previously studied. These findings offer a solid foundation for rapid experimental follow‐up,

Tire-road noise: an experimental study of tire and road design parameters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
It is widely known that road traffic noise has negative influences on human health. Hence, as tire-road noise is considered to be the most dominant cause of road traffic noise above 30-50 km/h, a lot of research is performed by the two involving ...

Annoyance of Time-Varying Road-Traffic Noise

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2010
The aim of the study was to investigate how the time structure of a road-traffic affects the noise annoyance judgment. In a psychoacoustic experiment, the listeners judged noise annoyance of four road-traffic noise scenarios with identical numbers of vehicles and LAeq,T value but different time structure of a road traffic.

Associations between road traffic noise exposure at home and school and ADHD in school-aged children: the TRAILS study

open access: yesEuropean Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, 2020
Environmental noise may play a role in the manifestation and severity of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms, but evidence is limited. We investigated the cross-sectional associations between residential and school road traffic noise

Material‐Based Intelligence: Autonomous Adaptation and Embodied Computation in Physical Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This perspective formulates a unifying framework for Material‐Based Intelligence (MBI), defining the physical requirements for materials to achieve embodied action, active memory and embodied information processing through intrinsic nonequilibrium dynamics. The design of intelligent materials often draws parallels with the complex adaptive behaviors of
