ROAD TRAFFIC NOISE INFLUENCED BY ROAD BUMPS
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2002Noise levels from different kinds of vehicles were measured on streets close to road bumps. In comparison with free flowing traffic, the acceleration after road bumps increased peak noise levels from 1 to 13 dB (A) max. Although the results are of a pilot nature, it is suggested that noise consequences should be included in the planning of road bumps.

Prediction of Road Traffic Noise
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1972A computer model for the prediction of noise from freely flowing road traffice is described. The model allows one to account for simple statistics of point sources (spatial distribution and radiated sound power) and for sound propagation with attenuation, diffraction, and reflection.
