The Roads’ Role in the Freight Transport System
AbstractThe transport system is often described as the lifeblood system of modern society. Roads constitute a fundamental part of this system for both passenger and freight transports. Freight transport is expected to increase throughout Europe by 80% until 2050 (EU, 2011).

Facet‐engineered PVP‐capped CuFeSe2 nanocrystals exhibit potent, selective antifungal activity by strongly binding cell‐wall mannan, enabling vacuolar entry and organelle disruption. High‐index facets show superior mannan affinity, validated by theoretical calculations and experiments. CFS‐P induces vacuolar cavitation, mitochondrial abnormalities, and

Pricing and Internalizing Noise Externalities in Road Freight Transportation
People living close to main roads may suffer from the nuisance of traffic and noise pollution. This paper assesses the effect of full routing cost in vehicle routing decisions by internalizing the external cost of noise. On a first step, noise externalities are economically assessed through a contingent valuation procedure.
