Mechanism and Control of Cable Breakage in a Roadway with Thick Top Coal in a Rockburst Mine
Because top coal is not stable, a roadway with thick top coal often appears to mine pressure problems, such as bolt failure, cable breakage, and roof caving. In particular, these problems are more serious in rockburst mines.

Carbon emission assessment of tunnel infrastructures: From construction to operation
This study develops a lifecycle carbon accounting framework for tunnel infrastructures, covering design, construction, operation, maintenance, and dismantling. Applied to a subsea tunnel case, the framework reveals the carbon emission distribution among four typical tunnel types and highlights potential carbon offset methods for low‐carbon tunnel ...

Composite grouting reinforcement technology for deep roadway surrounding rock
The single grouting method and grouting material can not achieve an ideal grouting effect under the complex geological conditions of deep roadway surrounding rock. In order to solve this problem, a composite grouting reinforcement technology for deep roadway surrounding rock is proposed.

This study reveals the failure evolution characteristics of deep cross‐fault roadway surrounding rock under excavation support and periodic weighting. Periodic weighting readily induces fault activation, with the spatial distribution of failed rock masses being controlled by the fault strike and dip.

Pressure relief for drilling (trenching) and support technology in deep soft rock tunnels
Controlling surrounding rock stability in deep soft rock tunnels solely by increasing the support strength is challenging. The key areas where the surrounding rock of a roadway is prone to “instability” should be treated with comprehensive measures, such

This study primarily investigates the optimal width for coal pillar retention in both sides of the worked‐out face section. Taking the 42201 haulage roadway of the 42201 working face at Shengxin Coal Mine as the primary research target, it analyses the optimum width for coal pillar retention through theoretical calculations, numerical simulations, and ...
