On the asymptotics of a Robin eigenvalue problem [PDF]
The considered Robin problem can formally be seen as a small perturbation of a Dirichlet problem. However, due to the sign of the impedance value, its associated eigenvalues converge point-wise to −∞ as the perturbation goes to zero. We prove in this case that Dirichlet eigenpairs are the only accumulation points of the Robin eigenpairs with normalized

Assessing Household Welfare in Response to Rising Food Prices in The Gambia
ABSTRACT This study examines how rising food prices affected household welfare in The Gambia using nationally representative data from the 2015/16 Integrated Household Survey (IHS‐3). The analysis reflects household consumption behavior and market conditions prevailing during that period and provides a structural benchmark for understanding ...

We discuss Neumann and Robin problems driven by the -Laplacian with jumping nonlinearities. Using sub-sup solution method, Fucík spectrum, mountain pass theorem, degree theorem together with suitable truncation techniques, we show that the Neumann ...

On the Serrin’s problem with Robin boundary conditions
Let $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^N$, $N\ge 2$, be an open, connected, bounded set with $C^2$ boundary. In this paper we consider the torsion problem with Robin boundary conditions and we study the symmetry of the solutions when suitable extra conditions are imposed on the boundary of $Ω$.

Data‐Driven High‐Throughput Volume Fraction Estimation From X‐Ray Diffraction Patterns
Long exposure times and the need for manual evaluation limit the use of X‐ray diffraction in high‐throughput applications. This study presents a data‐driven approach addressing both issues. HiVE (a method for High‐throughput Volume fraction Estimation) performs composition estimation for high‐noise XRD patterns produced using polychromatic emission ...

A new Patient‐Reported Outcome Scale to assess autoimmune Encephalitis: PROSE
Objective Autoimmune encephalitis (AIE) has long‐lasting effects. Generic clinical assessment‐scales insufficiently capture disease‐specific sequelae. Patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs) assess outcomes important to patients, ensuring relevance in the clinic and trials.

On the Travelling Waves for the Generalized Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation
This paper is devoted to the analysis of the travelling waves for a class of generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equations in a cylindric domain. Searching for travelling waves reduces the problem to the multiparameter eigenvalue problems for a class of ...

The Robin problem for singular $p(x)$-Laplacian equation in a cone
We study the behavior near the boundary angular or conical point of weak solutions to the Robin problem for an elliptic quasi-linear second-order equation with the variable $p(x)$-Laplacian.
