Integrating Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality in Robotic Surgery: An Initial dVRK Study Using a Surgical Education Scenario [PDF]
Robot-assisted surgery has become progressively more and more popular due to its clinical advantages. In the meanwhile, the artificial intelligence and augmented reality in robotic surgery are developing rapidly and receive lots of attention. However, current methods have not discussed the coherent integration of AI and AR in robotic surgery.

A DIA‐MS‐based proteomics analysis of serum samples from GB patients and healthy controls showed that high levels of IL1R2 and low levels of CRTAC1 and HRG in serum are associated with poor survival outcomes for GB patients. These circulating proteins could serve as biomarkers for the prediction of outcome in patients with GB.

Visual-Kinematics Graph Learning for Procedure-agnostic Instrument Tip Segmentation in Robotic Surgeries [PDF]
Accurate segmentation of surgical instrument tip is an important task for enabling downstream applications in robotic surgery, such as surgical skill assessment, tool-tissue interaction and deformation modeling, as well as surgical autonomy. However, this task is very challenging due to the small sizes of surgical instrument tips, and significant ...

Liver‐specific knockout of N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) methyltransferase METTL3 significantly accelerated hepatic tumor initiation under various oncogenic challenges, contrary to the previously reported oncogenic role of METTL3 in liver cancer cell lines or xenograft models. Mechanistically, METTL3 deficiency reduced m6A deposition on Manf transcripts and

Learning Domain Adaptation with Model Calibration for Surgical Report Generation in Robotic Surgery [PDF]
Generating a surgical report in robot-assisted surgery, in the form of natural language expression of surgical scene understanding, can play a significant role in document entry tasks, surgical training, and post-operative analysis. Despite the state-of-the-art accuracy of the deep learning algorithm, the deployment performance often drops when applied
