Rib‐Reinforced Ultralight and Ultra‐Strong Shell Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study thoroughly reveals the relation between the curvature and stress direction of triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) thin shell lattices and proposes a novel rib reinforcement design strategy to incorporate ribs along the line of asymptotes (LOA) and the line of principal curvatures (LOC) to enhance the strength of ultralight TPMS shell ...

Encapsulating Textiles with Dynamic Covalent Networks for Sustainable and Efficient Oil Spill Cleanup

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By encapsulating industrially relevant fabrics with dynamic imine networks, we show that the resulting composites exhibit exceptional oil absorbtion capability and chemical recyclability. It is poised for sustainable oil spill cleanup. ABSTRACT The development of high‐performance sorbents for oil spill remediation is highly desirable, which now calls ...

Abduction and Deduction in Dynamical Cognitive Science

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract This paper reviews the recent history of a subset of research in dynamical cognitive science, in particular that subset that allies itself with the sciences of complexity and casts cognitive systems as interaction dominant, noncomputational, and nonmodular. I look at this history in the light of C.S.

ADAP: Adaptive & Dynamic Arc Padding for predicting seam profiles in Multi-Layer-Multi-Pass robotic welding

open access: yesAI Open
Welding thick metal plates using Multi-Layer-Multi-Pass (MLMP) techniques demands precise control over the weld seam profile as it evolves during the cooling process. In MLMP welding, typically executed with Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and shielding gas
