Expanding the feasibility of fish and wildlife assessments with close‐kin mark–recapture
Close‐kin mark–recapture (CKMR) is a powerful new method for the assessment of fish and wildlife population dynamics. Unlike traditional mark–recapture techniques, the use of kinship as an identifying mark is robust to many forms of capture heterogeneity

Developing WASPAS-RTB method for range target-based criteria: toward selection for robust design
Recently, considerable attention has been devoted to application of multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) method in materials selection. Normalization can be considered as a foundation for rational MADM methods, which should deal with target-based ...

Design of robust PID controllers [PDF]
The family of characteristic polynomials of a SISO-PID loop with N representative plant operating conditions is P i = Ai(s)(K I ; + Kps + K D s2) + B i (s), i = 1,2…N. A basic task of robust control design is to find the set of all parameters K I , K P , K D , that simultaneously place the roots of all P i (a) into a specified region Γ in the complex ...

Hardness of robust network design [PDF]
AbstractThe authors settle the complexity status of the robust network design problem in undirected graphs. The fact that the flow‐cut gap in general graphs can be large, poses some difficulty in establishing a hardness result. Instead, the authors introduce a single‐source version of the problem where the flow‐cut gap is known to be one.
