Applications of Robust Statistics in Autonomous Driving
Autonomous vehicles have to interact with their environment with the goal to fulfill their tasks while respecting all desired constraints such as not causing dangerous situations, driving comfortable maneuvers, enabling a smooth traffic flow, or avoiding

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Robust Phase Estimation of Gaussian States in the Presence of Outlier Quantum States
In this paper, we investigate the problem of estimating the phase of a coherent state in the presence of unavoidable noisy quantum states. These unwarranted quantum states are represented by outlier quantum states in this study.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Rough histograms for robust statistics [PDF]
Applied statistics are widely used in pattern recognition and other computing applications to find the most likely value of a parameter. The use of classical empirical statistics is based upon assumption about normality of underlying density distribution of data.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

The Calculus of M-Estimation in R with geex
M-estimation, or estimating equation, methods are widely applicable for point estimation and asymptotic inference. In this paper, we present an R package that can find roots and compute the empirical sandwich variance estimator for any set of user ...
