Integrative Zoology, EarlyView.Assessing drivers of population dynamics helps to mitigate human–wildlife conflicts. In Mediterranean areas, summer aridity reduces resources, potentially affecting ungulates' body condition and reproduction. In a mixed forested‐rural area, wild boar female body mass increased throughout summer in rainy‐mild years and decreased in hot‐dry years.

An Overlooked Habitat‐Dependent Link Between Metabolism and Water Loss in Reptiles
Integrative Zoology, EarlyView.We measured the gas exchange of six lizard and six snake species, under high and low air humidity, and two intriguing patterns emerged. First, although desert species lose less water via evaporation than similar‐sized mesic species under similar conditions, water loss is virtually the same when each is exposed to its natural conditions.

Transcriptomics Unveil Dsx1 as a Critical Regulator in Sexual Dimorphism of Crustaceans
Integrative Zoology, EarlyView.Sexually dimorphic traits are involved in reproductive competition and are shaped by sex‐biased gene expression. This study identifies Dsx1 as a key male‐biased gene in Morinoia aosen and demonstrates through RNA interference that its disruption feminizes male‐specific T3 leg structures.
