Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 1963Abstract The general statistical nature of the distribution of the oxides of the abundant elements (Si, Al, Na, K, Mg, Ca, FeII, FeIII, Mn, Ti and P) in 343 granitic rocks from Japan has been considered. Rock type and landform assemblages
1988Rock types might influence landform development to such an extent that distinctive landform assemblages could be associated with specific rocks. If this is the case rock types could be predicted simply from an analysis of landform assemblages such as are observable on aerial photographs or other means of remote sensing.
