The Spatial Gradation Characteristics and Intensity Evolution Law of Mine Dump

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Most of the mine dumps have very prominent slope stability problems. In this paper, by analyzing the gradation characteristics and spatial distribution characteristics of the discharged particles, the functional relationship between the characteristic particle size parameters and the relative height of the dump was obtained.

Marking Otoliths of Adult European flounder (Platichthys flesus Linnaeus, 1758) With Tetracycline and Calcein

open access: yesAquaculture Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Mark‐recapture studies using fluorochrome dyes are a valuable approach for validating the age determination of fish, yet the optimal chemical marker and its dosage for adult European flounder (Platichthys flesus Linnaeus, 1758) remain unclear. We assessed the effectiveness of tetracycline hydrochloride and calcein at different concentrations for ...

Large-scale triaxial tests and modelling mechanical behaviors of soil-rockfill materials for a mine tailings dam

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2018
Based on the preliminarily designed construction plan of a soil-rockfill dam for Longwangding tailing dam project in Shaxi Copper Mine, the soil-rockfill materials with three different stone contents (5%, 15% and 30%) are compounded.

Seepage Analysis of Groundwater in Three Dimensions: A Case Study From a Reservoir Dam Site in the Huaihe River Basin

open access: yesGeofluids, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Reservoir seepage is a critical issue that must be addressed during the design phase of water conservancy projects. Based on engineering geological and hydrogeological investigations, a three‐dimensional geological model was established for a dam site in the Huaihe River Basin.

Research on Temperature Decomposition and Its Influence on Deformation of Rockfill Dams Based on Intelligent Algorithms

open access: yesStructural Control and Health Monitoring, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The unclear impact of temperature on rockfill dam settlement and the lack of a solid basis for selecting temperature parameters in prediction models are problematic. These issues significantly limit the accuracy and applicability of deformation monitoring models for rockfill dams.

Modeling Static Behavior of Rockfill Materials Based on Generalized Plasticity Model

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2019
Rockfill materials are commonly used for dam construction. Establishing an effective model that can reasonably describe the mechanical properties of rockfill material is very important for the calculation of earth-rock dam engineering.

Pull-out test analysis of steel bar in rockfill materials

open access: yesShuili Shuiyun Gongcheng Xuebao, 2017
As an effective seismic strengthening measure for the earth rock dam, the reinforcement is used more and more widely in the construction of high earth rockfill dams. A premise of the reinforcement design is the research on the contact characteristics and

Multi‐Sources and Modes‐Based Overtopping Risk Model for Gravity Dams Under Extreme Working Conditions

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 61, Issue 11, November 2025.
Abstract Addressing the limitations of traditional overtopping risk analysis methods, which either consider only a single failure mode or fail to accurately characterize the nonlinear characteristics of reservoir levels, this paper proposes a novel overtopping risk model for dams.

Supervised parameter updating of deformation analyses for rockfill dams using prior knowledge

open access: yesComputer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Volume 40, Issue 26, Page 4583-4606, 7 November 2025.
Abstract Accurate and reliable numerical simulation is crucial for the safe construction and operation of infrastructure such as rockfill dams. Model parameter updating through inverse analysis based on monitoring data is key to improving analysis accuracy.
