Quantitative data on the feeding of Cyclops strenuus Fischer and Cyclops viridis Jurine. [Translation from: Trudy saratov.Otd.vses.nauchno-issled.Inst.ozer.rech.ryb.Khoz. 1, 163-176, 1951.] [PDF]

open access: yes, 1951
Cyclopids, exactly in the same way as daphnids, significant component in the nutrition of plankton-f and the young of the majority of fishes. It is established that the food spectrum of cyclopids is extremely broad: daphnids, planarians, Copepodite ...

Least action principle for envelope functions in abrupt heterostructures

open access: yes, 2005
We apply the envelope function approach to abrupt heterostructures starting with the least action principle for the microscopic wave function. The interface is treated nonperturbatively, and our approach is applicable to mismatched heterostructure.

Excited states of neutral donor bound excitons in GaN [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We investigate the excited states of a neutral donor bound exciton (D0X) in bulk GaN by means of high-resolution, polychromatic photoluminescence excitation (PLE) spectroscopy.

A novel mechanism of auxin habituation: upregulation of auxin receptor TRANSPORT INHIBITOR RESPONSE 1 allows cell proliferation independent of external auxin

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 249, Issue 3, Page 1268-1282, February 2026.
Summary Exogenously applied auxins are essential for establishing cell lines in tissue cultures and maintaining their proliferation. Cell lines may develop the ability to proliferate even in media lacking auxin, they may become auxin‐habituated. This study investigated the mechanisms underlying this process.

“Your Hands, Malenkov, Are Covered in Blood…”: Nikita Khrushchev and the Instrumentalization of the 1949–1952 Leningrad Affair

open access: yesThe Russian Review, Volume 85, Issue 1, Page 37-51, January 2026.
Abstract This article analyzes how the Leningrad Affair, one of the most poorly understood of Joseph Stalin’s purges, was weaponized by Nikita Khrushchev and his comrades‐in‐arms in order to consolidate power during the 1950s and early 1960s. An exposé of how Khrushchev accused four different people of being responsible for the purge over the span of ...

The Martyrdom of Nadezhda Kurchenko: Soviet Hero Cults and the Spiritual Turn in Late Socialism

open access: yesThe Russian Review, Volume 85, Issue 1, Page 69-87, January 2026.
