Continuous calibration of Rogowski coil current transducer
2015 IEEE 13th International New Circuits and Systems Conference (NEWCAS), 2015Rogowski coils (RC) used for high-accuracy contact-less current measurement ask for precise sensor geometry and specific conditions, such as a centered primary conductor. To relax these constraints, we propose here a recently patented continuous calibration system which features a reference conductor added coaxially to the primary conductor and a ...

A Rogowski coil for high voltage applications
2008 IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference, 2008The design of a large bandwidth Rogowski probe for very high voltage applications is considered, based on the analysis of stray capacitance and shielding issues. The Rogowski is interfaced to the measuring instrument through a high CMRR instrumentation amplifier.

Performance of Rogowski coils at higher frequencies
2010 30th International Conference on Lightning Protection (ICLP), 2010Rogowski coil plays an important role in the measurement of lightning impulse currents both in tall towers and high voltage circuits. In many applications, the operational requirements could force the coil to its upper frequency limit. Coil's response under such a condition is not that well known.

Voltage profiles and closures on Rogowski coils
IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, 2002The voltage profiles along Rogowski coils are calculated, and three alternative ways of closing the loop are compared. In plane layouts the induced voltage is uniformly distributed with respect to the angle subtended at the measured current, but is not uniform along the coil length.

Digital Compensation of Rogowski Coil's Output Voltage
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2013Due to inherent characteristics of Rogowski coils, measured signals by these transducers are distorted, and hence, it is a need to compensate their output voltages in order to reconstruct their input current. Using analog circuits for the reconstruction of the input current of a Rogowski coil is a very common technique, but this technique has no ...

Temperature characteristics of Rogowski coil current sensors
2018 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC), 2018Rogowski coils are commonly used as a current sensor head in electronic current transformers. Due to the absence of a magnetic core, the temperature has a greater impact on its error characteristics. The relationship between temperature rises and coil ratio error was analyzed by thermoelasticity theory and be verified by simulation method of this paper.

The design of high performance Rogowski coils
International Conference on Power Electronics Machines and Drives, 2002Rogowski coils have become an increasingly popular method of measuring current within power electronics equipment due to their advantages of low insertion loss and reduced size compared to an equivalent current transformer. But there are problems in achieving the essential high bandwidth and high noise immunity required when taking such measurements ...

The Design and Calibration of Rogowski Coils
NCSLI Measure, 2009Abstract:In spite of a large number of publications on new Rogowski coil designs and applications, there are relatively few papers that deal with their calibration, and even fewer that address the traceability of these calibrations. This paper describes some of the improvements in the design and performance of Rogowski coils.

Laboratory current transformer based on Rogowski coil
2008This paper cover the analysis and construction of current to voltage transducer based on Rogowski coil which satisfy the requirements of high-accuracy measurement of AC current (measurement range up to 20 A at power supply frequency, with the aiming uncertainty of 100 parts per million).
