Tree Wrapping for Role and Reference Grammar
Lecture Notes in Computer Science, 2013We present a tree rewriting system that aims at formalizing the composition of syntactic templates in Role and Reference Grammar, a linguistic grammar developed mainly for typological analysis. Building on ideas from Tree Adjoining Grammar, we devise two basic operations for syntactic composition: (wrapping) substitution and sister adjunction.

LFG and Role and Reference Grammar

Constructions in Role and Reference Grammar
2013Framed within Role and Reference Grammar, this chapter provides a finer-grained account of the English resultative constructions (e.g. He hammered the metal flat/into a knife), which enriches the constructional schema suggested in Van Valin (2005).
