Modeling and experimentation of the friction force of linear rolling guide pair considering oil film resistance

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2017
For an accurate prediction of the friction experienced by the linear rolling guide and the factors affecting it, the fluid lubrication state of the rail was considered, and the effect of the friction of the linear guide on the ball contact angle and ...

Numerical Investigation of Elastic Layer Effects in Wheel–Rail Rolling Contact

open access: yesLubricants, 2023
In railway systems, layered structures could be induced in wheel–rail contact interfaces due to several causes, such as head hardening, work hardening, plastic deformation, and mechanical or thermal excursion-induced phase transformation.

DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF INTERNAL CONTACT OF ROLLING BEARINGS UNDER DIFFERENT DEGREES OF FAILURE

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2020
The change in the internal contact state caused by the failure of the rolling bearing is an important factor that causes the change in its vibration characteristics. According to the contact form of the fault and the rolling element, this paper considered

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Wear Behavior of Martensitic Stainless Steel in Rolling-Sliding Contact for Planetary Roller Screw Mechanism: Study of the WC/C Solution

open access: yesTribology Online, 2016
The planetary roller screw mechanism is used in the aeronautics industry for electro-mechanical actuators application. It transforms a rotational movement into a translation movement, and it is designed for heavy loads.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Finite Element Analysis of Damage Evolution of Solid Lubrication Film in Rolling–Sliding Contact

open access: yesLubricants
Based on the cohesive zone model (CZM), a finite element model of the film–substrate bearing system in the rolling–sliding contact state is established. Through analyzing the normal and tangential bearing states of the film–substrate system, the effects ...
