Effect of double vacuum melting and retained austenite on rolling-element fatigue life of AMS 5749 bearing steel [PDF]
AMS 5749 steel combines the tempering, hot hardness, and hardness retention characteristics of AISI M-50 steel with the corrosion and oxidation resistance of AISI 440C stainless steel. The five-ball fatigue tester was used to evaluate the rolling-element

The effect of contact torques on porosity of cohesive powders
The porosity of uniaxially compacted cohesive powders depends on the applied stress (including gravity). The case, where these stresses are weak, is considered.

This plot compares experimental tensile stress–strain curves (with 4 different strain rates) and corresponding modelled curves (obtained using the optimised sets of Voce and Miller–Norton parameter values shown). The inferred M‐N values, characterizing the creep, are very similar to those obtained via conventional creep testing.

A gumiabroncs-talaj kapcsolatában lejátszodó dinamikus energiatranszport folyamatok vizsgálata = Investigation of the dynamic energy transport process in the soil tyre interaction [PDF]
Terepen történő járműmozgás két jelentős vesztesége a gördülési ellenállás és a szlip. A két veszteség hatással van egymásra, azonban a folyamatok tisztázása végett célszerű azokat külön vizsgálni.

Rolling as a continuing collision
We show that two basic mechanical processes, the collision of particles and rolling motion of a sphere on a plane, are intimately related. According to our recent findings, the restitution coefficient for colliding spherical particles \epsilon, which ...
