Low cycle fatigue tests and damage accumulation models on the rolling shear strength of cross-laminated timber [PDF]
This paper presents a study on rolling shear damage accumulation and duration of load of cross-laminated timber (CLT) with low cycle fatigue tests. The study of the duration-of-load (DOL) effect on strength properties of wood products is typically challenging; it may be more challenging for non-edge-glued CLT considering crosswise layups of wood boards,

Influence of Carbon Nanoparticles on Electrically Induced Wear of Grease‐Lubricated Steels
When an electric current enters a pair of rubbing surfaces, enormous damage takes place. In this research, how such damage occurs in the presence of protective grease and the mitigation with added carbon nanoparticles, were investigated. It was discovered that those particles regulate transport and interfacial electrical stability of the grease ...

Evaluating rolling shear strength properties of cross-laminated timber by short-span bending tests and modified planar shear tests [PDF]
This paper presents an experimental study on rolling shear (RS) strength properties of non-edge-glued cross-laminated timber (CLT) made out of New Zealand Radiata pine (Pinus radiata) structural timber. CLT specimens with 35 and 20 mm thick laminations were studied to evaluate the influence of lamination thickness on the RS strength of CLT.

Shear Strength of Cross Laminated Timber Based on Larch Lamina Combination
Cross-laminated timber (CLT) fails in the outermost tensile lamina under bending loads, or rolling shear failure occurs in the Minoir direction lamina. This study investigated the effect of lamina width (90 mm, 120 mm), modulus of elasticity (MOE), and ...
