Examining the Effects of Monomer and Catalyst Structure on the Mechanism of Ruthenium-Catalyzed Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerization [PDF]
The mechanism of Ru-catalyzed ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) is studied in detail using a pair of third generation ruthenium catalysts with varying sterics of the N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand.

This study reports the formulation of innovative electrolytes to improve safety, sustainability, and compatibility with Ni‐rich cathodes through the use of a bio‐based solvent (γ‐valerolactone, GVL) and a safe, stable, innovative co‐solvent (diethylene glycol butyl ethyl ether, DEGBEE).

ABSTRACT Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVdF) is commonly used as a binder material in the preparation of anode or cathode electrode slurries for commercial Li‐ion batteries (LIBs). High‐cost PVdF binder generally requires the use of toxic and environmentally unfriendly N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP) as a solvent for dissolution.

The M2 Phase of Free‐Standing Ga‐Doped VO2 Single Crystals Over Wide Temperature Ranges
Upon heating, the free‐standing crystal Ga 0.04V0.96O2(6) transits abruptly from the T‐phase to the M2‐phase at 295.5 K and from the M2‐phase to the R‐phase at 358 K with no coexisting phases. Resistive switching related to these first‐order transitions is exhibited by low current R(T), DC, and pulsed I–V plots under fixed ambient temperature ...

Intergenerational Risk Sharing, Pensions and Endogenous Labor Supply in General Equilibrium [PDF]
In the context of a two-tier pension system, with a pay-as-you-go first tier and a fully funded second tier, we demonstrate that a system with a defined wage-indexed second tier performs strictly better than one with a defined contribution or defined ...

Abstract The aim of double‐bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstructions (DB ACLRs) is the reconstruction of anteromedial and posterolateral bundles of the ACL in order to achieve better rotational stability and improved functional results compared with single‐bundle ACLR techniques. Several studies described a considerable failure rate of DB ACLRs.

Integral assessment of urban conglomeration versus centre-periphery maglev rail systems under market imperfections [PDF]
New transport infrastructure has a myriad of short and long run effects. The effects on population and economic activity are most difficult to estimate. This paper introduces three different models to estimate the impacts of new infrastructure on labour ...
