Ruthenium-Based Heterocyclic Carbene-Coordinated Olefin Metathesis Catalysts [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Reviews, 2010
The fascinating story of olefin (or alkene) metathesis (eq 1) began almost five decades ago, when Anderson and Merckling reported the first carbon-carbon double-bond rearrangement reaction in the titanium-catalyzed polymerization of norbornene.

Organocatalyzed Fluoride Metathesis [PDF]

open access: yesOrganic Letters, 2020
A new organocatalyzed fluoride metathesis reaction between fluoroarenes and carbonyl derivatives is reported. The reaction exchanges fluoride (F–) and alternate nucleophiles (OAc–, CO2R–, SR–, Cl–, CN–, NCS–). The approach provides a conceptually novel route to manipulate the fluorine content of organic molecules.

Eff ect of the MoO3/Al2O3 catalyst fl uorination on the propylene metathesis reaction [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия Саратовского университета. Новая серия: Серия Химия. Биология. Экология, 2022
In the course of this work, fl uorinated catalysts MoO3 /Al2 O3 -F for the olefi ns metathesis have been synthesized. The materials have been characterized by various physicochemical methods and tested in the propylene metathesis reaction.

Ruthenium Olefin Metathesis Catalysts Bearing Carbohydrate-Based N-Heterocyclic Carbenes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Ru-based olefin metathesis catalysts containing carbohydrate-derived NHCs from glucose and galactose were synthesized and characterized by NMR spectroscopy. 2D-NMR spectroscopy revealed the presence of Ru−C (benzylidene) rotamers at room temperature, and

Chelated Ruthenium Catalysts for Z-Selective Olefin Metathesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We report the development of ruthenium-based metathesis catalysts with chelating N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands that catalyze highly Z-selective olefin metathesis.

Enantioselective Synthesis of 5-epi-Citreoviral Using Ruthenium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Ring-Closing Metathesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Chiral ruthenium olefin metathesis catalysts can perform asymmetric ring-closing reactions in ≥90% ee with low catalyst loadings. To illustrate the practicality of these reactions and the products they form, an enantioselective total synthesis of 5-epi ...

Ring Rearrangement Metathesis in 7-Oxabicyclo[2.2.1]heptene (7-Oxanorbornene) Derivatives. Some Applications in Natural Product Chemistry

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2017
Metathesis reactions is firmly established as a valuable synthetic tool in organic chemistry, clearly comparable with the venerable Diels-Alder and Wittig reactions and, more recently, with the metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions.
