Room-Temperature and Near-Room-Temperature Molecule-Based Magnets

Inorganic Chemistry, 2008
Additional members of the family of high- T c molecule-based magnets, V[acceptor] 2. yCH 2Cl 2 have been discovered in which the acceptor is a fluorophenyltricyanoethylene. Varying the number and position of the fluorine substitutions around the phenyl ring results in materials with significantly different magnetic ordering temperatures ( T c's ...

Room temperature and near-room temperature coordination polymer magnets

Synthetic Metals, 2014
Abstract Four new vanadium-based coordination polymers that exhibit high magnetic ordering temperatures ( T c ) have been synthesized. Magnetic measurements show that these polymers are soft ferrimagnets. The IR shows a reduced nitrile environment in these polymers, elemental analysis reveals that the compositions of the polymers are 2:1 acceptor to

Xenon porometry at room temperature

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2006
Xenon porometry is a method in which porous material is immersed in a medium and the properties of the material are studied by means of Xe129 nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) of xenon gas dissolved in the medium. For instance, the chemical shift of a particular signal (referred to as signal D) arising from xenon inside small pockets formed in the pores

Stability of Procalcitonin at Room Temperature

Clinical Laboratory, 2014
The aim was to assess procalcitonin (PCT) stability after two days of storage at room temperature.Samples were collected from febrile children aged 7 to 92 days and were rapidly frozen after sampling. PCT levels were measured twice after thawing: immediately (named y) and 48 hours later after storage at room temperature (named x).
