A Bio‐Inspired Perspective on Materials Sustainability
This perspective discusses natural materials as inspiration for sustainable engineering designs and the processing of materials. First, circularity, longevity, parsimony, and activity are presented as essential material paradigms. The perspective then uses many examples of natural and technical materials to introduce principles such as oligo ...

Effectiveness of supplementary protocols for filling material removal after sealer ultrasonic activation - a laboratory investigation [PDF]
Ultrasonic activation of the endodontic sealer makes it difficult to remove the material during endodontic reintervention. Therefore, supplementary removal protocols should be tested to optimize the removal of the remaining filling material.

This work presents a method to print multi‐layer elastomer structures containing liquid cavities, where the fluid is incorporated as part of the printing process by freezing it, thus avoiding the conventional final filling step. We demonstrate this process by fabricating and characterizing dense arrays of zipping electrostatic actuators.
